On 8th October JOY secretary invited Board and Life Member as well as friends of JOY for a Dashain “get together” program. During this event we had the pleasure to exchange greetings and words of appreciation.

On 15th October our friends from JOYs international Partner Organization “Nepal Australia Friendship Association (NAFA)” Ross and Brenda Hazelwood have arrived in Nepal. On 26th October JOY has officially welcomed them during a small get together program.  President of Joy Foundation Nepal Mr. Raju Shrestha expressed his appreciation in cooperating with NAFA over the last years. We also had the pleasure to welcome Lew Tunk, an Audiologist working in cooperation with NAFA and Sebastian Guilbaud, a supporter of JOY since many years.

On 6th November 2010 a Deusi-Bhailo Porgram was organized by JOY to celebrate Tihar. Many of JOY’s friends and supporters attended the program. Altogether the amount of 142.005/-NRs was raised during this event. We appreciate all the support that made this program a great success.

On 19 November 2010 a farewell program for Kate Miller and Rachel Gehrke has been organized by JOY. Kate and Rachel have spent their final field placement as part of their social work studies with JOY in Nepal and with NAFA in Brisbane.

On 15th February 2011 a Program has been organized to raise money for JOY’s activities. This occasion was also used to give farewell greetings to some of our NAFA friends who will be returning to Australia end of February. Many people gathered to eat, sing, laugh and share the JOY of giving.
