JOY has conducted WASH Awareness Training program to the targeted HIV infected/affected and orphaned children who are deprived of education due to HIV status and poverty from Punarbal Plus at Sitapahila, Kathmandu, Nepal on 16th July 2016. There are 32 children living at Punarbal Plus aged 3 to 18. Volunteers from Clean up Nepal provided WASH awareness training on Personal Hygiene, Hand Washing, Dental Care and Sanitation. Our teaching methodology was based on learning by playing. We interacted with the children, discussed about the importance of personal hygiene and sanitation, and played some games with them. They were very much enthusiastic to learn and actively participated in the program.
