Joy Foundation Nepal distributes Oxygen Concentrators

When Nepal is suffering a major crisis of oxygen supply amid the uncontrolled COVID-19 pandemic, Joy Foundation Nepal assisted handover of 100 sets of oxygen concentrators donated by Milarepa Meditation Center, Sankhu, Nepal on behalf of Taiwan LJM Charitable Foundation/Taiwan LJM Buddhist Society, Taiwan to support different government hospitals and local government health service provider. Joy Foundation Nepal took all the responsibilities of Logistics from China to Nepal.

Raju Shrestha, president of Joy Foundation Nepal stated that 100 sets of oxygen concentrators will be distributed and delivered consecutively from today to different government hospitals and health post and other needy organizations of remote areas at different parts of country. This will help mitigate the hassle for searching oxygen supply and save the lives of as many people as possible.

He added, Hospitals and health post in remote areas have been struggling to meet the demand for oxygen supply and people have to stay on queue to get their turn to get oxygen cylinder resulting in a death.  Oxygen concentrators are of extreme importance in respiratory infectious disease management. This aid to some extent will help the service provider at those remote areas to serve their population. Mr. Raju also expressed his sincere gratitude to Milarepa Meditation Center, Sankhu for their continued support for the Nepalese to fight against covid 19.

Oxygen Concentrator will be donated to different local bodies, hospitals and health post at Nuwakot, Syangja, Myagdi, Gorkha, Solukhumbhu, Manang, Mustang, Kaski, Kathmandu, Sankhu, Lalitpur, Bardiya, Gandaki, Balgung, Bhaktapur, Makwanpur.
