During a one month program in March and April 2011 Social work students and sociology students are participating in a one week workshop on environmental issues, focusing especially on the problem of plastic and solid waste management. After the completion of the workshop the students will visit schools and conduct workshops on environmental responsibility. The project aims to raise awareness towards eco-friendly actions, to provide students with skills on workshop planning and facilitation. Altogether 16 students from different colleges in Kathmandu are participating actively in this project. The program is supported by Manfred Hermsen Stiftung, Germany.
