PARTICIPATION ON ONE DAY INTERACTION PROGRAM AT NADH

National Association of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (NADH) is organized one day interaction program on 8th June 2016 at Hotel Hardik.  The main objective of the program is to make the aware of the concerns of the overall development of the Bilingual people and to analyze the rights and laws of the bilingual people. There were out of 42 participants from the learner of sign language students, new and old sign language interpreter and daily interpreter of deaf guardians.

In the beginning of the program, Mr. Kumar Regmi welcomed all the participants from different sectors and highlighted the objective of the program and sign languages.

Chief Guest Ms. Maheshori Bista, Deputy Secretary of, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare, also clarify the needs of bilinguals. She clarified that no one should be left out in the program because of lack of knowledge of sign. National Federation of the Disabled Association Nepal, Chairperson, Mr. Sudarshan Subedi also highlighted the importance of bilingual and sign language interpreter to communicate with deaf and hard of hearing people.

During the program, NADH Nepal facilitated interpretation for persons with hearing disability and making accessible by providing Sign language interpreter.
